Nod and Smile. A facial expression that works in just about any situation. The single most popular piece of advice I give people: when in doubt, nod and smile. As a person who spends her life traveling, negotiating, learning and teaching, I have found the the act has served me well.
Currently, I am a person who spends her life surrounded by language, academia, city living, turnpike driving and life in all its funny ways. The nod and smile comes comes in handy, and the purpose of this blog is to make my readers do both.
